The main focus of the School is on policies and in particular on the analysis, evaluation and design of public policies. She also talked about the project “Help for Democracy”, that aims to contribute to the process of democratic renewal initiated by the conference on the future of Europe, through which 100 young people had the opportunity to meet through webinars and workshops with EU experts and exchange ideas on topics related to the democratic development of the European Union, with the aim of achieving the definition of concrete proposals.

Mr. Federico Anghelé focused on the concept of civic lobbying carried out by The Good Lobby and on the “Io voto fuori sede” campaign. The Good Lobby is an organization that seeks to provide tools and opportunities for citizens and civil society to participate in order to ensure that citizens have the capacity to be active part of the decision-making processes. The “Io voto fuori sede” campaign on voting rights is an example of The Good Lobby’s activities: the campaign is aimed at Italian voters who vote in Italy but for different reasons (work, study) cannot vote in their place of residence. In Italy, in fact, the mobile vote is allowed only to some categories of citizens (such as the military), while all others are excluded, including in particular young university students or young workers. So, The Good Lobby is trying to present proposals similar to those of other European countries that allow mobile voting within the same country.

And you, do you think that the voting rights of European mobile citizens are guaranteed?
